HARGRAVE PARK SCHOOL

The brief for this project was to connect the lower-ground classrooms to the outdoors.

To achieve this Open Practice designed sunken ‘amphitheatre’-style teaching spaces to be shared between two classrooms.

The flexible landscape wraps around the school, connecting the classrooms and providing a place for pupils to run or sit quietly during playtime.

A low-budget, big-impact project that greatly enhances pupils’ well-being and transforms their learning experiences.
